Reviews
There are so many good books out there and I love to share them. I read a little bit of everything in all kinds of genres, so maybe one of these will interest you (Note: unless otherwise indicated as Middle Grade or Young Adult, all books are for adults and not suitable for children):

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins
Origin story for the main villain in the Hunger Games. It left me truly conflicted over hating him. Soon to be made into a movie.

Dust

The Red Ribbon
by Pepper Basham
Loved this sweet novel set in early 1900s that’s based on real events. The main characters are fictional, but the town and many of the events are real. It was atmospheric and the mountain setting added to the suspense.

The Cul-de-Sac War
by Melissa Ferguson
This was full of fun, quirky characters and the war was definitely more realistic (not overly dramatic) which I loved. At the core is a sweet love story between two stubborn people–my favorite kind.

Healthy as F*ck
by Oonagh Duncan
Fair warning: You can probably tell from the title that there’s LOTS of cursing in this book, but it changed my health for the better.

With this Pledge
by Tamera Alexander
Love the Civil War time period and this romance doesn’t disappoint. Based on real-life love letters.

The Selection

The Rule of One
by Ashley and Leslie Saunders
Such an interesting look at how government enforced family planning can go wrong.

Danger in the Shadows
by Dee Henderson
This is one of her older books, but it’s one of my favorite Dee Henderson novels.

Emerge
by Heather Sunseri
In a world where a virus has wiped out most of humanity, one girl keeps a secret–she has caught the virus and survived. A fast paced adventure.
